Chaime

/tʃaɪm/

  • the feeling when work and life goals in balance that resonates like the chime of a large, loud bell ringing

  • a portmanteau of “change” and “time”

A smiling woman with short, wavy brown hair, wearing glasses, a black T-shirt, and a gold necklace, sitting at a table in a cafe with outdoor seating and greenery visible outside.

About Jen Reiher, founder of Chaime

Whether you're rethinking your own life's direction or trying to build a business that doesn't cost you everything (literally and emotionally) and you need a thinking partner who blends rigor with humanity, you're in exactly the right place.

I’m an entreprenerd living and working in Victoria, BC, Canada on the beautiful Coast Salish Sea.

I have a long memory for systems, people, and have spent many hours pondering how the different ways we spend our energy have a way of either unlocking our potential… or slowly grinding it down.

My career history lives at the intersection of strategy, organizational leadership, and public impact, with diverse experience across government, technology, and non-profit. I’ve done everything from help people with multiple disabilities challenge stereotypes and live inclusive lives to lead technology platforms teams in government and private sector, and everything in between.

I’m a co-founder of the YYJ Tech community and someone who genuinely believes that better culture can be built, but is living proof that it cannot be wished into existence. I’m trained in Equity Sequence, which shapes how I coach and consult: power-aware, practical, and grounded in real decision-making rather than performative checklists. I’m also neurodiverse, which means pattern recognition, systems thinking, and asking exactly the hard question we need to ask come naturally, and I design my work to support brains that don’t thrive in one-size-fits-all environments.

Outside of work, you’ll find me practicing Aikido, where I’m continually reminded that force is rarely the answer and alignment matters more than speed, and indulging in my passions for slow food, fashion and travel.

However you define success, I'd love to figure out how Chaime can help you build sustainably towards it.
